The 71530 is useful when you want downward pressure from a dog hole without setting a forged holdfast with a mallet. Position the arm on its post and turn the handle to apply pressure through the pad. Its pivoting contact is intended to keep the hold-down aligned with the board surface.
The selected offer contains one clamp for 3/4 inch dog holes. POWERTEC lists a clamping height up to 5 inches and directional positioning through 360 degrees. Compare the height with the workpiece and the arm position with the area you need to reach; a hole diameter alone does not establish the whole setup’s fit.
A locking knob sets the arm position on the post. The assembly combines a cast-aluminum arm with a steel post and threaded clamping screw. The pressure pad and handle provide a different adjustment method from the Narex mallet-set holdfast.
Choose it for a movable hold-down on a compatible dog-hole bench. The BORA dog fence is an alternative when you need a bracing edge rather than a pressure screw. Check the actual bench hole system:3/4 inch is not a blanket compatibility claim for 20 mm tables or every benchtop thickness.

The handle and screw apply pressure while a knob sets the arm position. The Narex alternative uses mallet taps to set and release the holdfast.
Can I use it in a 20 mm table?
The selected specification is3/4 inch dog holes. A 20 mm-table fit is not established and should be checked for the particular table.
Does the dog fence do the same job?
The BORA fence supplies a bracing and positioning edge. This clamp adds a threaded pad for downward pressure, so choose according to how the work must be restrained.
