What this tool adds
What this tool adds to your bench
Choose this set when the holes you need match the three fixed diameters:1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch. The selected parts are09705, 09709 and 09713, each listed at 7-1/2 inches long. Overall bit length is not a guaranteed through-hole depth in every workpiece.
The Tri-Cut form has three cutting edges and flutes, with a lead screw at the point. The source describes hardened high-carbon steel and a PTFE coating. These construction details explain the design without promising a particular removal rate or a blowout-free exit.
Each bit has a 7/16 inch quick-release hex shank. The selected description permits use in a suitable hand brace as well as a compatible drill. Confirm the chuck’s capacity and seating for that actual shank; the word hex does not establish fit in every brace.
The package contains the three bits, and protective tube packaging is described. Choose a complete gimlet for a small pilot hole without a separate driver, or compare the Robert Larson brace after checking shank fit. Keep the cutting diameters, shank size and complete bit lengths separate when planning the setup.
Choose for your actual work
- Match cutting diameter and shank capacity separately.
- Check usable boring depth in the actual setup.
Fit checks & limits
- No universal brace fit, guaranteed drilling rate or blowout-free result is established.
- The number of separate protective tubes is not established.
Questions before you choose
Are the three diameters adjustable?
They are three fixed-size bits. Select the bit matching the required hole rather than expecting an adjustable cutter.
Can I pair them with any bit brace?
They need a chuck that correctly accepts the 7/16 inch hex shank. Confirm numerical capacity and seating for the particular brace.
Does7-1/2 inches mean that much usable hole depth?
It is the listed complete bit length. Usable depth depends on the cutting length, workpiece and driver clearance, and is not established by that figure alone.
